Meet Fitz Magee

The band's first official performance under the name Fitz Magee, took place in June of 2022. There have been a handful of personnel changes since that time, with the current performing lineup in place since mid 2025.

Fitz initially formed as a four-piece rock band, without a female vocalist, but in time the band became intrigued with the idea of adding a female vocalist to both broaden song possibilities and to add a third part to the existing vocal harmonies. Ultimately Joanna, joined the group in early 2023.

Prior to forming Fitz Magee, Sean and Michael played together for several years with a group named Dreadnought, which was more of an acoustic vibe. While Dreadnought was forming and determining their identity, Jim also took part in some early rehearsals and even an early performance, but ultimately could not commit to joining due to other obligations.

Prior to both Fitz Magee and Dreadnought, Sean and Jim played together in a band named Trace of Reason during the 1990's.
Meet Michael Gavin

Michael is a guitarist and vocalist for Fitz Magee, currently residing in the Montgomeryville area. Originally from Warminster, Pennsylvania, Michael graduated from William Tennent High School in 1992, where he played trumpet before trading brass for distorted guitars.

Musically, Michael's tastes have always been all over the map - from Michael Jackson to Metallica and from Alice in Chains to Wu Tang - helping shape the wide-ranging style and setlist Fitz Magee brings to every show. His favorite songs to perform are any of the songs that showcase the bands harmonies.

Known as the stylish one in the band, Michael never misses a chance to elevate the stage look with all the rock n' roll flair he can muster. His bandmates remain divided on whether the extra wardrobe effort is completely necessary.
